Luciano Spalletti calls up only Pisilli to the Azzurri

Roma’s difficult season is also making its mark on Luciano Spalletti’s choices.

The Italy boss has announced the squad list for the upcoming Nations League matches against Belgium and France, scheduled for November 14 and 17.

Only Niccolò Pisilli is among those called up, making his second call-up to the senior national team, a sign of the poor Roma presence in the Azzurri compared to the past.

Gianluca Mancini, Bryan Cristante, Stephan El Shaarawy and Lorenzo Pellegrini are all excluded.

Tommaso Baldanzi, another young talent from the Giallorossi, will start with the Under 21s.
