The agent of Marash Kumbulla reconfirmed his client’s future is still set to unfold at Roma as his brief loan spell at Sassuolo draws to an end.
In an interview with Sportitalia, Gianni Vitali, Kumbulla’s agent, spoke on the behalf of his client with regards to their future plans following their move to Sassuolo as a way to revitalize the defender’s career in the aftermath of his recovery from a lengthy injury stop.
“The move to Sassuolo had various motivations – Kumbulla needed minutes in order to get back on the pitch and be the player he was before the injury. Seeing him back on the pitch was very emotional,” said Vitali.
“With Roma we made a decision based on the fact that Sassuolo represented the best opportunity to get the minutes he wanted, if possible, and then return to Rome later this summer. Marash has a contract with Roma until 2027, then we’ll see.”
