Roma defender Mario Hermoso spoke to the club after the Giallorossi’s defeat to Elfsborg.
The Spanish defender – who started the match for Ivan Juric – discussed the team’s performance at full-time.
“We faced the game as we should have,” he said.
“I think we have seen what it means to play here on a difficult pitch and with the lawn that has a surface on which we are not used to playing.”
“But we dominated the game from start to finish. The only chance the opponents had was the penalty kick, there was nothing more.”
“We leave this place with a negative feeling because we conceded and we lost, despite having chances to score.”
“Having to play every 3/4 days is something we have to start getting used to, especially if our goal is to stay in all the competitions.”
“We have to get used to the game system and integrate all the new players. I think we’re doing well.”
“In addition, I believe that we are heading towards a positive path and you have seen a team that dominates, that holds the ball knowing what their style of play is, a valid team that presses high man against man throughout the game. But when the ball doesn’t want to go in, you leave with a bad feeling.”
