North Korea has fired a ballistic missile

The launch is towards the East Sea (AKA Sea of Japan).

North Korea has been very busy developing missile tech and nukes. The country got a big boost during the previous US administration and has made the most of it.

Back in the day a show of aggression like this from NK would tend to trigger moves into yen. Not so much any more.
