Favour Ofili showed the world why she is one of the best athletes representing Nigeria at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games as she booked her place in the semi-final of the 200-meter event.
Nigeria’s Favour Ofili secured the top spot in 22.24 seconds, in heat 6, which ensured her place in the semi-finals alongside Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, who finished 2nd in 22.28s and Gina Bass-Bittaye 3rd in 22.84s.
Recall that Ofili missed out on the 100-meter event because she was not registered by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria and the Nigeria Olympic Committee. There has not been any reason why she was not registered for the race despite that she qualified for the event.
However, Ofili will hope that she maintains the same momentum from the heats when she gets on the tracks in the semi-finals of the 200 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympic games.
