Roma fans at risk of being banned for Venezia match

Roma may be once again facing their upcoming Serie A away fixture without the support of their fans.

Recently, UEFA decided to sanction Roma with a fine of 30 thousand euros and the partial closure of the Curva Nord of the Olimpico (sectors 46 and 47) for the return match of the Europa League play-off against Porto, scheduled for Thursday 20 February.

The measure comes after the riots in the last match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Despite the sanction, the club will guarantee fans who already have tickets the possibility of attending the match.

Further details will be provided in the coming days.

In the meantime, Roma’s trip to Venice on Sunday is at risk: the National Observatory on Sporting Events has proposed a ban for Giallorossi fans, as well as for Udinese fans in Naples, due to the high risk of clashes, writes Corriere della Sera.
