Tension skyrocketed outside the gates of Trigoria after the news of De Rossi’s dismissal which shocked the already agitated Roma environment.
The arrival of Ivan Juric did not contribute to calming the already strong discontent in the Italian capital, which began to manifest itself at the gates of the Giallorossi sports centre.
Some fans intercepted Captain Pellegrini’s car and requested a confrontation with the player.
One of these, in a polemical manner, asked the player: “How many more coaches do we still want to get rid of? It’s the fifth coach we’ve sent away, every time with the same excuse.”
Pellegrini tried to deny his involvement in the decision to sack De Rossi, “Don’t tell me that,” he said.
But the protest began to mount. “Give this to the coach,” another boy suggested, provocatively handing him a deflated ball. When the Giallorossi skipper rolled up his window to cross the gates of Trigoria, a fan shouted at him: “Shame on you, you are responsible! Shit! Mourinho and De Rossi are gladiators, you’re nothing!“
