Roma to offer Svilar new contract with improved salary

In recent months, Mile Svilar has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs, from West Ham to Guardiola’s Manchester City, who are looking for a new goalkeeper given Ederson’s decline.

The Roma shots-topper, who currently earns less than a million euros per season, represents an intriguing option for the English market, also considering his young age.

Despite interest from the Premier League, Svilar has chosen to come out into the open, confirming the first contacts with Roma for the renewal: “Yes, it’s true, we started talking about it last week, even if I would prefer to talk about the pitch”.

A statement that reassures the Giallorossi fans, aware that the contract expiring in 2027 is not a guarantee of his stay.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma considers him a fundamental piece for the future, so much so that sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has included him in the short list of players to be kept at all costs.

To convince him to stay, an adjustment to his salary will be needed, with a possible renewal until 2029 and a salary of 2.5 million euros per season. A significant investment, but necessary to retain the goalkeeper who could become the Giallorossi’s number one for years to come.
