Service of Songs begins as remains of late Chief of Army Staff arrives Abuja

The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja have arrived in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in preparation for his final interment.

The body is currently being transported to the National Christian Centre in Abuja where a service of songs will be held.

This will be followed by a Military Parade and Interment on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

The Osun-born senior officer passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

He assumed office on June 23, 2023, and made significant contributions to the nation’s security framework.

He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, and extended family members.
