Spezia midfielder Salvatore Esposito: “De Rossi still calls me.”

Spezia midfielder Salvatore Esposito discussed his relationship with Roma manager Daniele De Rossi.

In a recent interview with Gianluca Di Marzio, Esposito reflected on the rapport that he shares with the former SPAL boss.

The two briefly worked at Ferrara prior to De Rossi’s sacking in January 2023.

“I speak with him very often,” said Esposito. “I have a unique relationship with him. I spoke to him two or three days ago to tell him that I would like to come and watch Roma-Milan in the Europa League.”

“He still watches me play in Serie B and teases me when I make mistakes. I always wish him luck before Roma play.”
