Stocks closing higher once again. Meta 19 straight days of gains

The major stock indices are closing higher, with the NASDAQ index leading the way with a gain of 1.5%.

Meta shares closed higher for the 19th consecutive day after trading down over seven dollars at session lows. Shares of Meta shares are up some 18.6% over the streak and over 24% for the year.

If you think that is good, Applovin is closing up 24% on the day after announcing earnings after close yesterday. For the year, shares are up 45.65% after rising 712.62% last year

S&P index closed just three points short of its record high close of 6118.71.

The final numbers are showing:

• Dow industrial average up 3 44.75 points or 0.77% at 44711.31
• S&P index closed up 63.09 points or 1.04% at 6115.07
• NASDAQ index rose 295.69 points or 1.50% at 19945.64

The small-cap Russell 2000 closed higher by 26.29 points or 1.17% at 2282.18.
