Tammy Abraham is on his way to completing full recovery nine months after suffering a torn ACL.
The English striker was recently on the bench for Giallorossi – a symbolic gesture granted by Daniele De Rossi who insisted on making Abraham feel part of the team after months of personalized training and physiotherapy.
However, this international break could serve to speed up Abraham’s return.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Abraham will be back on the bench against Lecce on 1 April.
The attacker hopes to receive his first minutes of playing time as he intends to climb his way back into Roma’s starting line-up before the end of the season.
Once his recovery will be complete, Abraham is expected to remain in the Italian capital for at least another season – his current deal with the Giallorossi is set to expire in 2026.
