Trade advisor Navarro: US auto companies pledge to move supply chains to US

US trade advisor. Navarro is speaking on CNBC and says:

  • US auto companies pledged to move supply chain for US
  • Reciprocal tariffs will focus on one tariff rate for each country to reflect tariffs/nontariff measures

Yesterday, Trump delayed the tariffs on autos from Canada after speaking with the big three automakers.

Earlier today Trump posted on Truth Social:

The head of the United Auto Workers of America just stated that tariffs are necessary to. Correct years of abuse of the USA by other countries and companies we have lost 90,000 factories and plants since the beginning of NAFTA. HE IS 100% CORRECT!!!
