Trump threatens a 25% tariff on Mexico and Canada

USD surges as the market gets reminded of reality.

Trump says as one of his many first executive orders, he will charge Mexico and Canada a 25% tariff on all products coming into the US and will charge China ‘an additional 10% tariff’.

CAD is getting smashed … well everything excluding the USD is.

All those narratives about Bessant moderating Trump on tariffs. Gimme a break.
