Ukraine’s Zelenskiy: Conversation with G7 leaders was very good.

Ukraine’s Zelenskiy is saying:

  • Conversation with G7 leaders was very good
  • Ukrainian US is working productively on economic deal and hopes to sign in Washington

Last week Pres. Trump was calling Zelenskiy a dictator. He was demanding $500 billion of restitution for the US defense support. Zelenskiy rebuffed that amount and said he was not giving up all his countries natural resources.

“I am not signing something that will be paid off by 10 generations of Ukrainians.”

Overnight there were reports that Ukraine and the US are in the final stages of negotiations on a minerals deal, with Ukraine committed to completing the agreement as quickly as possible. Zelenskiy stated that discussions are progressing well and that the initial draft proposed Ukraine returning two dollars for every dollar of aid provided by the US. He also clarified that the previously mentioned $500 billion deal is no longer being considered. A top aide described the latest round of talks as constructive. Additionally, reports suggest that the US could restrict Ukraine’s access to Starlink internet services over minerals, according to sources cited by Reuters.
