Mason Greenwood has been named Getafe’s Player of the Season as European giants, including Juventus, Valencia, and Lazio, express interest in the Manchester United striker.
Greenwood, 22, left United on loan last summer to revive his career away from Old Trafford.
This move followed his arrest in January 2022 on suspicion of several offences, including attempted rape.
The charges were dropped 13 months later when key witnesses withdrew, and new evidence emerged.
Greenwood quickly impressed at Getafe, earning Player of the Month accolades in December and April.
He finished the season with eight goals and six assists from 33 appearances, becoming a fan favourite.
Getafe honoured him with the Player of the Season award, sharing images of Greenwood with his trophy on social media.
Despite Getafe’s desire to retain Greenwood, their budget constraints make a permanent deal unlikely.
Greenwood’s contract with United has 12 months remaining, and the club is keen to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free in 2025.
Juventus has reportedly made a £40 million bid, while Lazio has proposed an initial £30 million deal with performance-related bonuses.
Valencia and Marseille are also interested, with Marseille’s new manager Roberto De Zerbi particularly keen.
Reports suggest Greenwood favours a move to Juventus, attracted by the prospect of playing Champions League football following their third-place finish in Serie A.
As the Englishman weighs his options, it remains to be seen which European giant will secure his signature.
