US election: Cardi B slams Donald Trump for promising police immunity

Cardi B vehemently criticized 2024 Presidential candidate Donald Trump for his intentions to provide police with immunity.

The 31-year-old hip-hop artist is a strong opponent of Trump, who is seeking re-election as the President of the United States in November.

Cardi B expressed outrage following Trump’s address at a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

These statements were made shortly after a video surfaced showing the tragic death of Sonya Massey, a U.S. citizen shot by law enforcement in her own residence after seeking help when she felt her home was under threat.

The presidential hopeful remarked, “I want to give immunity to police to do their job. I’m giving federal immunity to police officers so they can do their job.”

Re-posting a clip of Trump making his speech on X, Cardi added a caption raging, “AFTER WATCHING SONYA MASSEY GET KILLED IN 4K …..just wow …he never changed.”

Cardi B has emerged as a persistent critic of Trump, utilizing various online platforms to express her disapproval since his confirmation as the 2024 Republican presidential candidate.

Additionally, she has been vocal in her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now a contender for the presidency on the Democratic Party ticket.

Harris, a 59-year-old political figure, has stepped up to represent the Democratic Party’s aspirations after President Joe Biden announced his decision not to seek re-election due to ongoing negative publicity regarding his communication skills.
