If and when confirmed, Greer will be the face for all negotiations involving the US and coordinating trade policy across the federal government. He is very much a tariff man himself with Trump having praised Greer for his work during Trump’s first term in dealing with China especially. Remember the whole Phase One and Phase Two thingamajig? Yep, Greer was a key personnel who worked on that.
