It’s going to be another dull day in terms of data releases with just the US NFIB Small Business Optimism Index on the agenda. The focus will be on Fed Chair Powell Testimony and a potential announcement of reciprocal tariffs by Trump (today or tomorrow).
Fed Chair Powell is unlikely to offer anything new since the last FOMC press conference and will likely stick to his usual neutral stance. The focus is on inflation progress, so the CPI tomorrow remains the main event of the week (and of course Trump’s tariffs).
