What Justice Binta Nyako Told Me About Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Two Years Ago – Sam Amadi

The director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Sam Amadi, has stated that the charges against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, do not make sense legally.

This is coming after Justice Binta Nyako said she was going to recuse herself from Kanu’s trial.

Recall that during a hearing session on Tuesday, Kanu asked Justice Nyako to recuse herself from his ongoing trial, claiming she had failed to adhere to orders issued by the Supreme Court.

He made his request directly in the courtroom, emphasizing his dissatisfaction with the judicial proceedings.

In response, Justice Nyako acknowledged Kanu’s request, stating she would be happy to step down from the case.

She indicated that she would forward the case file to the Chief Judge for reassignment and any further necessary actions.

Speaking via his X account, Amadi claimed that Nyako had suggested to him that the charges against the agitator do not make must sense.

He wrote, “The charges against Nnamdi Kanu do not make much sense legally speaking, and in my opinion, difficult to prove.

“Justice Binta said something close to that to me two years ago. Not surprised she backed down.

“It is a political trial in the guise of a legal trial. End it.”
