Why Canadian markets will outperform today

Diving is on the Olympic scheduled today and it’s also on the market schedule. The gold medal so far goes to the 12% decline in Japanese stocks and let’s hope it stays that way, though Nasdaq futures are down more than 5%.

On country that won’t be competing is Canada, with markets there closed today. A flat reading is about the best anyone can hope for today but, unfortunately for Canada, the market will open tomorrow.
